Delectable Cheese, Corn, and Capsicum Momos Recipe

Ingredients:

For the Momos Dough:

2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
Water (as needed)

1 cup boiled and mashed corn
1/2 cup finely chopped capsicum
1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon oil
Salt and pepper to taste

For the Dipping Sauce:

1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons vinegar
1 tablespoon finely chopped garlic
1 teaspoon red chili flakes
1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)

Instructions:

Prepare the Momos Dough:

In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt.
Gradually add water and knead the mixture into a soft, smooth dough.
Cover the dough and let it rest for at least 30 minutes.


Prepare the Filling:

Heat oil in a pan and sauté the ginger-garlic paste until fragrant.
Add the chopped capsicum and cook until slightly tender.
Mix in the boiled and mashed corn, grated cheese, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir well and cook until the cheese melts.
Allow the filling to cool.


Assemble the Momos:

Divide the rested dough into small, equal-sized balls.
Roll each ball into a thin, round disc, ensuring the edges are thinner than the center.

Fold and pleat the edges to form a sealed momo.


Steam the Momos:

Arrange the momos on a greased steamer and steam for 12-15 minutes or until the outer layer becomes translucent.


Prepare the Dipping Sauce:

Mix soy sauce, vinegar, finely chopped garlic, red chili flakes, and sesame oil (if using) in a bowl.


Serve and Enjoy:
