Instructions:

1. Preparing the Karela:

Wash the karelas thoroughly under running water. Pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel.

Using a knife, carefully scrape off the rough outer surface of the karela. Do not discard the scrapings; keep them aside.

Make a slit along the length of each karela, ensuring you don't cut all the way through. Gently scoop out the seeds using a small spoon or your fingers.
