500 grams fish fillets (such as tilapia, cod, or snapper), cut into medium-sized pieces
2 onions, finely chopped
3 tomatoes, finely chopped
4-5 garlic cloves, minced
1-inch piece of ginger, grated
2 green chilies, slit lengthwise
1 tablespoon black peppercorns, crushed
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 tablespoon coriander powder
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)
